    John McMurrain m. Phoebe Ann Motley May 28, 1845; ten ch.: (1) Sarah Ann m.
Chas. Johnson, eleven ch. viz: John. Annie, Minnie, Bob, Byron, Ida, Ed, Alice,
Hattie, Brooksie and Mae Johnson, this family live in Greensboro, Ala.; (2)
Mollie m. Frank Snellings, 9 ch. viz: Will, Effie, Annie, Bartow, Cora, Pearl,
Bessie, Ida and Frank Snellings; all of this family live in Texas except Frank
who lives on Sumtnerville Road and owns Snellings' Lumber Co. in Phenix City,
Ala.; (3) John Thomas m. Mattie Byrd, one son John; (4) Lucious m. 1st Emma
Lokey, 3 ch. viz: Joe, William, Archie; Lucius; m. 2nd Ida Tarvin; live in
Columbus, Ga.; (5) Samuel D. m. Pauline Cook, 8 ch. viz: Leon, Leita, Annie Mae,
Walter, Bartow, Inez, Ethel, and Ida Ruth; (6) Narcissa m. George Brown, 7 ch.
viz: Elizabeth, Walter, Eugene, Joseph, Fred, Hubert and Herbert Brown. This
family lives in California; (7) Kizzie m. 1st Thomas Bradford, m. 2nd Billy
Gilbert; lives in Columbus; (8) Bartow, d. young; (10) Robert L. m. Bessie
Williams; 6 ch. viz: Bertha, Jessie, Bernice, Walter, Ruth and Mary; (11) Frank
m. 1st Ida Snellings, two ch. viz: Leila Frank and John Gaston McMurrain; Frank
m. Alberta Snellings; lives in Ala.
