ROYAL-HARRISON-SPEIGHT-MAJORS

    James Royal m. Annie Walters. Previous to birth of their own children, they
took into their home Molly Ross and Hugh O'Pryer. Molly Ross m. first Cosby; two
daus.; m. second James Harrison. She d. about two years ago. No record of Hugh
O'Pryer since he went to western part of U. S.

    Ch. of James and Annie Walters Royal: (1) Sarah A. Lucinda m. Andrew J.
Barfield Feb. 2, 1860; ch.: Albert D., Susie (Mrs. G. M. Bentley), Andrew W.,
Bill, Leon (decd.), Murt (dec'd), Oscar O., Annie (Mrs. W. H. Blakely), and John
H. Barfield.

    (2) John C. m. Mollie Nolan (who was reared in home of John Short) (3)
Michael James m. Alice Patillo; one daughter Elfleda b. Feb. 14, 1871; d. Oct.
22, 1892; m. Chas. Edaward Gordy Nov. 26, 1891; had one daughter Elsie Gordy
(Mrs. W. L. Bussey) with whom Mrs. Alice Patillo Royal makes her home now
(1933): Mrs. Royal furnished part of data for this family. (4) Marinda m. David
Hill; (5) George; (6) Perion m. 1st Emma Harry. James Royal had a brother,
Travis, whose ch. were Hardy, Lucy. Abel, Nancy, Martha and Lizzie. Nancy Royal
(Mrs. J. B. Scoggins); Hardy Royal m. E. V. Scoggins; Abel Royal m. Adeline Norton.

    Ch. of Hardy and Evie V. Scoggings Royal:

    Allen m. Etta Hale; Will m. Ada Majors, Homer, Walter, Mollie m. Brant
Bentley and Lettie m. Judson Clark.

    Nancy Hollis dau. of Richard and sister of Marlin T. Hollis, Sr. m. Green
Berry Scoggins; ch.; Mary E. (Mrs. W. R. At-taway), Nan, and Dick; after death
of Nancy Hollis, Green Berry Scoggings m. 2nd; one dau., Callie; m. third,
Nancy, dau. of Travis Royal; ch.: Edna, Annette, Fanny, Minnie, Green Berry and
Alice.

    Elizabeth Cosby m. Thomas Speight; ch. Alma (Mrs. A. C. Alford, dec'd),
Thomas L. m. Lucy Gordy, Susie Mae (Mrs. E. G. Roberts) William Marvin, Victoria

Charles W. Mizell, Jr.), Frank Jr. and Sara Harrison.

    Rachel Majors, second wife of Wm. W. Clark was dau. of John Majors, whose
will dated Aug. 19, 1864, is recorded in office of ordinary of Cusseta.

    One of his sons, Rodolphus m. Martha Sophronia Thompson; ch.: Ada (Mrs. Will
Royals), Eula (dec'd), Effie (Mrs. H. T. Bonner), Homer, Giffie (Mrs. Hinton
Martin), Tom and Emmet Majors.

    Ch. of Mrs. Giffie Majors Martin: William m. Vivian Smith, Thelma (Mrs.
Arnold Newson) two sons, Jimmie and Ray'(dec'd) Newson, Albert and Imogene Martin.
