Gen. Chas. Fox was found to be incomplete, names of all men residing in north eastern part of Chattahoochee County being omitted. Upon investigation these names were found upon roster of World-War veterans in Talbot County from which copy was made and added to list sent from Atlanta. Box Springs (in Talbot Co.) one-half mile from the Talbot-Chattahoochee County line furnishes R. F. D. facilities for that section of Chattahoochee County, so all names with this address were accredited to Talbot County. The Clerk of the Court at Cusseta has recorded all names now accredited to Chattahoochee County. Hubbard Van Horn was attending school in Americus, Ga. when he enlisted, May 4, 1918 in Quartermaster Corps U. S. A. His home was at Ochillee, Chattahoochee Co., Ga. Lieut. Chas. Harold Cook, wounded in action in France, a graduate of University of Georgia and Law department of Mercer University, won his commission in traning at Camp Oglethorpe. Samuel I. Brodnax (Broadnax) of Chattahoochee Co., enlisted at Americus, Ga., June 6, 1917; left the United States for foreign service June 20, 1918, and died October 6, 1918, of wounds received in action, while serving as a private in Company E, 316th Engineers. Calvin Grady Davis, farmer, born in Webster County, Ga., enlisted age 21, Sept. 8, 1917, at Americus, Ga., in Co. H 38th Inf. 3rd Division. Since return from World War has lived in Chattahoochee County. Eugene G. Willis Sgt. Inf., born at Blakely, Ga., enlisted at Cusseta Sept. 5, 1917.
