Miss Lula Brewer entertained the Sewing Club last Thursday afternoon in honor of
Mrs. LeRoy Thompson, of Arlington.  After the guessing contest a salad course
was served.

Mrs. Ruth Bennett, of Texas, is visiting Mrs. B.F. Bagley here.

Miss Johnnie Hickey has been spending several days with Mrs. J.H. Jones at Adel.

Mrs. W.F. Cook and Mrs. J.F. Spivey have returned from a visit to Talbotton.

Mrs. E.E. Cook and son have returned home from a visit to Preston.

Miss Margaret Bussey spent several days last week the guest of Miss Alice Beard
in Columbus.

Miss Sara Brown visited relatives in Columbus last week.

Mr. and Mrs. L.K. Thompson, of Arlington, are the guests of their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. S.J. McMurrian, here.

Messrs. J.J. Gordy and G.J. Jones attended United States court in Columbus last
week.

Mrs. J.S. Brewer has returned home from Renfroe.

The Bell telephone office has been moved from the Hickey House to J.B. Howell’s
store.

Dr. W.F. Harp and family have moved to Columbus.

Dr. Smith and family, of Box Spring, have moved to the place vacated by Dr. Harp
and family.

Miss Mattie Kate Bagley visited her sister in Columbus last week.

Mrs. Wm. Cooksey went up to Columbus Wednesday.

Miss Ola Kemp has returned to her home in Columbus after a pleasant visit the
guest of Miss Bobbie Pilcher.

Messrs. J.J. Gordy, W.A. Duncan and W.B. Osteen have gone to Florida on a
fishing trip.
