Mr. William H. Bagley, ex-sheriff of Chattahoochee County, was killed by a 
falling tree on his farm near Cusseta last Tuesday.  Mr. Bagley was prominent 
in his section and was elected on the Populist ticket.  The murder of Hon. T.M. 
Adams and the trial of Mr. Bagley, charged with the murder, will be recalled by 
our readers.  The trial was a long and memorable one, and Mr. Bagley was 
acquitted of the charges.
