J.H. Stanford and Miss Vivia Dawn Hollis will be read with interest by their new acquaintances and friends in this county: Cusseta, Ga., Dec. 14 – A marriage of great interest to the many friends of the contracting parties was that of Miss Vivia Dawn Hollis to Rev. J.H. Stanford, which occurred on Tuesday morning at 11:30 o’clock at the Methodist Church, the ceremony being performed by Rev. R.W. Cannon in his usual impressive manner. Immediately preceding the ceremony Miss Eula Brewer sang “O Promise Me” and the wedding march was beautifully rendered by Mrs. C.M. Green, with violin accompaniment by Mr. J.P. Hickey. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Hollis and with her sweet disposition and charming ways has won many friends by whom she will be greatly missed in the future. The groom, who was formerly of Concord, is a young minister of many noble traits of character, having recently entered the South Georgia Conference. Rev. and Mrs. Stanford left Tuesday afternoon for their future home in Butler, where Mr. Stanford will be pastor of the Methodist Church. Stanford, the new Methodist pastor and wife, are practically straightened out in the parsonage and are now engaged in entertaining callers, meet6ing and getting acquainted with our people.
