She was the second daughter of Angus Mcleod. Info on Alfred Foster- Chattooga Co, GA This is Sally Mcleod Foster (below in census)wife of Alfred Foster. According to the Newspaper, in 1891 the finished their handsome residence on Foster's St. In 1896, he died. I don't know what of. He was a young man of 36 yrs and had a family. In 1882 , the Foster family purchased Land Lot 109. On this lot there was a Mill, Tanyard, Store & Dwelling. There was also Mill on Mostseller Creek. I did find that in Bob Baker's Book. In 1875, Robert Foster was borrowing money for the purpose of a Mill & Gin and in 1877 he and his family sold their portion of this to K R Foster- water rights and instructed K R Foster to leave the races as they were. This land lot was 110. So there must have been more than we think on these land lots during the 1875-1891 time frame. The census below is Sarah Mcleod Foster daughter of town founder Angus Mcleod after the death of her husband.
