Hayes bradhayes@walkerschools.org March 24, 2008, 9:53 pm Pleasant Grove church of Christ was originally named Philadelphia and located in the Waterville community of Walker County, Georgia. The congregation later moved to Chattooga County in 1884, and became known as Pleasant Grove church of Christ. Today, the church is located on Old Highway 27, north of Trion, GA. Hugh Glaze has been the minister since November 1982. Prior to Hugh Glaze, the following men served as ministers: J. Farris Baird (1962-1969,1975-1982), J. Frank Yates (1969-1971), Herman E. Lenderman (1972-1974), George C. Kreig (1972), Beryl Bodenham (1971), Robert "Bob" W. Gray (1960-1962), Homer A. Daniel (1958-1960), Eugene Pitts (1950's), Sam. M. Connally (1944-1950), Conrad Bates (1950's), Clark Sosebee (1955-1956), Joe Miller (1950's), Pete Mattis (1950's), and Robert Atnip (1950's). Currently serving as elders, Earl Tinney, Fred Hall and Bobby Hayes. Currently serving as deacons, Dan Logan, Brad Hayes and Jeff Duncan. Adam Morgan leads the singing. Pleasant Grove has approximately 85 to 95 members. Sunday school service is at 10AM, Sunday morning worship is at 11AM, Sunday evening worship is at 6PM, and Wednesday night Bible study is at 7PM/7:30PM.
