In the early morning the family missed their father and began search for him. A little later the sons spied a coat on a stock well some distance from the house, which led them to believe their father had jumped into the well and ended his life. The body was discovered in the well. It is stated the well is walled with stone, that it is 12 foot to the water, and 18 feet of water in the well. MR. EVITT some weeks ago suffered a severe attack of flu, from which he had not recovered, and for the past several days members of the family stated that he had not been himself, and had caused them some anxiety, however, they did not suspect that he had intentions to end his life.
