Buckner, who died early yesterday morning at the residence, 1907 Barnard street, after a short illness, will be held at 5 o'clock this afternoon at the chapel of Fox and Weeks. Rev. John S. Wilder, D.D., pastor of Calvary Baptist Temple, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery. Mr. Buckner was born on March 2, 1890 at Lawtonville, S.C. and was associated with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He was a member of Ancient Landmark Lodge No 231, F.& A.M., and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. He is survived by his widow, Dolores Rice Buckner, and two daughters, Anne Elizabeth and Eleanor Dolores; also the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. John W. Fretwell of Jackson, Miss; Mrs. Augustus W. Owens of Allendale, S.C.; Robert L. Buckner of Atlanta; Marion H. Buckner of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; Benjamin F. Buckner of Waycross; Miles B. Buckner of Pensacola, Fla; and Mrs. Clifford N. Roberds, Mrs. Bernard F. Rensing, Mrs. James G. Brown, Miss Catherine E. Buckner, and J. Randolph Buckner of Savannah The pallbearers will be Henry M. Garwes, Julius Kahn, Capt. E. G. Thomson, Judge Alex R. MacDonell, Harry V. Ruth and M. M. Ray.
