_Dave J. Deering Died At His Home_

Dave J. Deering, 68, of Cloudland, GA, passed away at his home Wed. after a 

long illness. He was a native of Cloudland and had spent his entire life in 

that area. He was a menber of the Mentone Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Virginia Bowman Deering, Cloudland; four 

Daughters; Lena Galloway,Mobile,AL; Pluma Martin, Cloudland; Letha Chappelear, 

Menlo, GA; Myrtle Hickey, Chattanooga; Two sons, Albert & Fred Deering, both of 

Cloudland. 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Estell 

Boggs, S.C.; Mrs Mollie Butler, Rainsville; two Brothers; Luke Deering, Miami, 

FL; John Deering, Cloudland.

Funeral Services were held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Mentone Church of God with 

the Revs. M.F.Robertson, Alton Hickey, L.J.Leather & Andrew McArthur 

officiating. Pallbearers were Max Cash, Jerry Galloway, Max Galloway, L.D. 

Powell, Roy Ashworth, & Thomas Maynard.

Interment was in the Ami Cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
