The body was brought back to Lyerly for intermnet. Rev. Mr. Rosser conducting the funeral services. Mr. Foster had been in failing health for some time but with characteristic energy stuck to his business the disease meanwhile making steady progress, and when at last he decided to make a change of climate it was too late to benefit him. He leaves a wife and six children and numberous relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death, for had hardly reached the prime of life. He was the oldest son of Capt. K. R. Foster and was about thirty-five years old. Note: Alfred Foster was the man who the Foster home in Lyerly was built for.(Recently found this out-his father later obtained the home) He also married the town's founder's daughter Sarah Mcleod. (Her father was Angus Mcleod and supposedly sold his farm to be divided up for the town of Lyerly. This info is taken from Bob Baker's Chattooga Co History Book.) The town was founded in 1891 and that is when this home was built in 1891. Michelle Doss http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00028.html#0006861
