Roy Clinton Hawkins, 62, Resaca, Died Monday at his residence after five months 

of illness.

He was born April 14, 1940 in Cherokee County AL.,a son of the late Sidney & 

Fannie Downer Hawkins. Two Brothers, Ernest & Billy Hawkins preceded him in 

death. He was a Gordon County resident for 13 years. An employee of Shaw 

Industries and was a member of the Church of God.

Surviving are his Widow, Faye H. Hawkins, Resaca; one son David Hopper, 

Mentone, AL. Two Daughters, Tina Hawkins, LaFayette& Julie Hawkins, Okinawa, 

Japan;sisters, Joyce Allen, Cloudland, Lynda Holland, Palski, TN; & Carolyn 

Flarity, Cloudland; five grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; step-children 

Sherry Whitaker, Cartersville; Toni Hill & her husband Lee, Calhoun; Renoda Van 

Houten& her husband Lee, Shane DuPree & his wife Miranda, Calhoun; Marty 

Culpepper,Mentone, Al,& Jan Stoker Summerville.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m.Thursday(today) from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral 

Home with the Rev Stanton Erwin officiating. Interment will be held Monday from 

the Wofford Crossroads Cemetery in Bartow County.

He attended and Graduated Menlo School.
