Hawkins 63, Cloudland Died Dec 12 at his residence. Mr. Hawkins was born Sept 3, 1939 in Cloudland, the son of the late Fred Hawkins. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was former owner and operator of Hawkins Construction. Surviving are his widow, Marie Smith Hawkins; a son Lee Hawkins, Cloudland; daughters and sons-in-law, Janna Helms, Summerville; Carol and Scott Tucker, Trion and Deana and Tim Perry, Summerville; two step-sons Richard Green, Mentone AL and Clay Green, Columbus; a Brother, Gene Hawkins, Cloudland; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Taylor Adams, Cloudland and seven Grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Green Officiating. Interment was in the Cloudland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were Jake Burdick, Steve Clowdis, Danny Deering, Jimmie George, Bill Tutton and Charlos Zellner. Honorary pallbearers were Ken Bruce, Albert Palmour, Danny Helms, Sam Pruitt, Huey Blalock, Steve Moore, Craig Young, Rex Abernathy, Charles (Willie) Johnson, Charles (Little Willie) Johnson Jr., past crew workers, business associates and all personal Friends.
