Clara Mae Humphreys,68, Rollins Drive, Summerville, died Fri. morning in a Rome 

hospital.

Mrs Humphreys was born in Chattooga County April,11,1927, daughter of the late 

Cliff & Gladys Haygood Chambers. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist 

Church & retired from the weaving dept of Mount Vernon MIlls. Her daughter, Pat 

Humphreys & her sister, Grace Haygood, died earlier.

Surviving are her widower, Hoyt H. Humphreys; one daughter & son-in-law, Becky 

&Steve Lively, Summerville: two grandchildren, Tiffany & Tony Lively, 

Summerville; two sisters, Ruby Haygood & Annie Ruth Dunaway, Trion; two J.M. 

Chambers, Summerville & Bobby Haygood, Trion. Several brothers-in-law & sisters-

in-law; nieces & nephews.

Funeral servicel were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of J.D. Hill Funeral 

Home with the Revs. Jimmy Wilborn & Mark Smith officating. Interment was in 

West Hill Cenetery.
