Lewis Lyerly, Ga., November 16 – Funeral services for John B. Lewis, 69, who died Friday night, following a long illness, were conducted Sunday morning from the First Baptist church of Lyerly by the pastor, Dr. J.G. Black. Interment following in the Lyerly cemetery. Masons had charge of the services at the grave. Mr. Lewis spent the greater part of his life in Lyerly, moving to Cedartown a few years ago, where he remained until a few weeks ago. He was a member of the Lyerly Baptist church and of the Lyerly Lodge No. 338 F. & A.M. Surviving are his widow, one son, Lawrence Lewis, of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Strickland, of Lafayette, and Mrs. Mose Kilgo, of Rome and one brother, George Lewis,of Lafayette.
