Died At Trion

An Aged and Highley Esteemed Lady Dies Suddenly

Trion, GA November 1-Mrs. Jane Penn died here this morning of bowel troubles. 

She was very old, being over 70 years, and death was sudden and unexpected. 

Deceased was the mother of Hon. William H. Penn, several years ago an honored 

member of the legislature from Chattooga county, and possesses a large and 

influential circle of near relatives, being a sister of Mrs. J.W. Penn, and 

aunt of Mrs. H.B. Parks, of Rome, and Mrs. R. T. Armstrong of Birmingham. Mrs.

Penn was visiting with her sister, who is preparing to move to Rome, at the time

of her death. She was well known and beloved by all who know her. The sudden

calling away casts a gloom over the community.
