W. H. Smith, Sr., 81, of Lyerly, Ga. died Saturday morning in a local 
hospital.  He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church, Lyerly, and 
was owner of Smith Printing Co. for 62 years.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. 
W. H. Smith Sr., three daughters, Mrs. Ron Fletcher, Spotswood, NJ, Mrs. James 
E. Webb, Pensacola, Fla and Mrs. Vera Hillis, East Point, GA. two sons, Lewis 
H. Smith, Mount Berry, Ga. and W. H. Smith, Jr. of Lyerly, 12 grandchildren and 
a great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be 
held Nov. 7, 3 PM, First Baptist Church, with Rev. J. B. Cantrell and Rev. 
Frank Lewis officiating.  Interment in Lyerly Cemetery.  Pallbearers Bill 
Edwards, Bill Bryant, Johnny Bryant, Harris Edwards, Ben Ragland and Buck White.
