Camden, Sheriff to John Dover. In consideration of the sum of $13.50 conveys all that tract of land known as land lot 627, 15th District, 2nd Section. Tract consists of 40 acres more or less. Sold to the highest bidder by order of the Justices Court of Fayette County in favor of John Burke against David Sparks. The property signed by Samuel C. Candler, Sheriff, belonged to David Sparks. Signed Marbell J. Camden Sheriff. Witnessed: M. H. Ford and Wm. Whitaker,JP. Cherokee County, Georgia Deed Book F, Page 379 October 21, 1842 This indenture made this twenty first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred forty two between John Dover of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and William R. Manning of the County of Gwinnett and same State of the other part witnesseth that the said John Dover for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents does grant bargain sell and convey unto the said William R. Manning his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the fifteenth (15th) District of the Second (2nd) Section of said county and state known and distinguished in the plan of said district by the number six hundred and twenty seven (627) containing forty acres more or less with all the rights mentioned? and appurtenances thereunto belonging ? To have and to hold the aforesaid described lot of land unto him the said William R. Manning his heirs and assigns together with all the rights mentioned and appurtenances to the said lot of land in anywise belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behalf forever in fee simple. And the said John Dover for himself his heirs executors and administrators that said bargained premises together with all the right title and professional? Thereof unto the said William R. Manning his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other person whatever.
