Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery.

Smith, Elijah W.- private March 10, 1862. Absent without
leave December 31 , 1863. Captured at Marietta, Ga. July
3, 1864. Took oath of allegiance to U. S. Govt. and
mustered into 5th Regiment U. S. Inf. at Camp Douglas,
Ill. April 6; 1865.

Smith, Henry, Jr.- private March 10, 1862. Died of
disease at Enterprise, Miss. June 25, 1863.

Smith, Henry O.- private March 10, 1862. Surrendered at
Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865 .

Smith, Thomas - private March 10, 1862. Captured in
Cherokee County, Ga. in 1864. Took oath of allegiance to 
U. S. Govt. at Louisville, Ky., and released to remain
north of Ohio River during war, September 26, 1864.

Spears, John J. (or J. I.) - private March 10, 1862.
Captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863, and paroled
there July 6, 1863. Appointed 1st Corporal November 1863.
Captured at Marietta, Ga. July 3, 1864. Received at
Military Prison, Louisville, Ky., July 14, 1864.
Transferred to Camp Douglas, Ill. July 18, 1864, and
released there May 17, 1865.

Stephens, W. F.- private March 10, 1862. Died in 1862.

Stone, William M.- private March 10, 1862. Died May 2,
1862.

Tanner, Nathan - private March 10, 1862. Died October 17,
1863.

Tatum, Hugh - private March 10, 1862. Transferred to Co.
L June 1, 1862. Captured at Baker's Creek, Miss.   May
16, 1863. Transferred to Co. C May 25, 1863. Received at
Fort Delaware, Del. June 9, 1863, where he took oath of
allegiance to U. S. Govt. July 1863, and enlisted in 3rd
Maryland U. S. Cavalry, date not stated.

Taylor, James William - private March 10, 1862. Appointed
4th Sergeant. Appears on rolls of Co. I  no record of
transfer found. Died at Vicksburg, Miss. February 1,
1863.

Teasley, William A.- private March 10, 1862. Appointed
Regimental A. C. S. (to rank from March 20, 1862) July
12, 1862. Captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863, and
paroled there July 1863. Dropped, under General Order to
abolish supermumerary officers in Commissary & Q. M.
Dept., May 20, 1863. Elected Colonel of State Troops in
Cherokee County, Ga.

Turner, Henry G. B.- private March 10, 1862. Captured at
Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863, and paroled there July
6, 1863. Roll dated December 31, 1863, last on file,
shows him absent without leave. (Born in Spartensburg,
South Carolina) No later record.(1)

Chase, O. December 21, 1864. Grave #644, Camp Chase
Confederate Cemetery.
