He and family were at dinner, when a little girl of Viney Boatman, who is living with him, looked up and saw the ceiling burning above them. The fire is supposed to have originated from a spark from the the (sic) chimney. There was no insurance. Uncle Johnnie is seventy odd years old and is in feeble health, and this loss falls very heavily upon him, since he has no house on his place comfortable enough for him to live in, and no relatives to whom he can go. The excitement prostrated him and he is very low. We hope he may speedily recover. The neighbors are kindly caring for him.
