The Cherokee Advance  22 Jan 1886 P 3 January 22, 1886
We visited the Paupers Home last Sunday and found the inmates there-seven in 
number-very comfortably provided for, plenty of wood, food, bedding, clothing, 
etc., and appeared to be well satisfied.  Mr. Hamilton was stricken with 
paralysis on his left side about ten years ago is now very low.  He is about 77 
years old and in all probability will not live another week.
