N. N. Edge and wife and son, Cooper, and Hal Daniel have gone to Hampton, where they will engage in the publication of the Hampton Herald. Mr. Edge and family have been residents of this place since 1882, and for a time Mr. Edge was editor of The Advance and pastor of the Baptist church here. He has many friends here who wish him great success and the enjoyment of good health at his new home. Mr. Edge has considerable newspaper experience and ability, and will give the people of Hampton and Henry county a live, interesting journal. His first paper will be issued about March 6, 1886. He has our best wishes for his own and the Herald's success.
