Dr. Turk was sent for and administered an antidote, and the little fellow is now doing very well. The snake was killed, it had three rattles and a button. John Casteel shot and killed a rattlesnake near the Micon gold mine, four miles northwest of Canton, last week, which measured four feet and four inches in length and seven inches around, and had nine rattles and the inevitable button. He was an ugly, dangerous-looking fellow, although he showed no signs of fight.
