There it blew down Boiling Springs church, the house of Garrison Cross and killed his wife, the dwelling of C. H. Maddox and killed Esquire W. I. Christain,(Christian?) and the house of William Grogan. . . .Esquire Christain is one of the best citizens of our county and happened to be at C. H. Maddox when the wind came and blew down the house and threw the chimney on him, killing him almost instantly. Additional Comments: There's a W. I.
