Obituary

Departed this life December the 16th, 1882, James L. Clark.  He was sick about
six hours, with disease of the heart.

Mr. Clark was on his way from York Co., S.C. to my house, when attacked.  He
leaves a wife and three children.  He was the father of R. B. Clark, five miles
East of Canton.

He had come to Georgia to take charge of my mills, when he was called upon to
lay down his life and cease his labors.
