Big Springs, Jan'y, 23rd, 1886-A very sad accident happened near here last 
Wednesday.  Mr. Mitchel Day was moving from here to a place a few miles distant 
and started with a load late in the evening, with his wife and little child in 
the wagon.  Dark overtook them before reaching their destination, and the wagon 
wheel run against some obstacle and threw Mrs. Day and her babe out.  By the fall 
Mrs. Day was badly hurt and the child received injuries from which it died in a 
few hours. They have lost four or five children previous to this one; burried 
(sic) a little boy about one month ago.

The last line refers to Elbert's death Dec 1885.
