The Cherokee Advance 18 Feb 1882 p 3
Died a week ago, last Sunday, Mrs. Rebecca Fowler, near Wood Stock (sic), in
this county.  Mrs. Fowler was one of the first settlers of this county, was a
worthy good woman, and served her generation to profit, and many are left to
call her blessed.  She had long been a devoted member of the Baptist church. 
Her last hours were made bright by the "light of God."
