Maud Gaines, the six year old child of Mr. W. T. Gaines, of this place, died last 
Sunday morning. She had been afflicted with asthma from infancy, which, with 
measles, produced her death. The cold, chilly hand of Death has snatched away two 
of his family within the past ten weeks-his loving wife and now his dear child, 
but it is sweet to believe they all will meet again.
