Tribute of Respect to W. M. Hewell.

On motion the following resolutions were adopted by the Methodist Sunday school
at this place on Sunday November 23rd 1884.
Whereas--An All Wise God, in his wisdom and discretion, has called from earth to
his heavenly home one of our Sunday School scholars, a most devout christian and
a life time member of the Methodist church south Mr. W. M. Hewell, on Thursday,
Nov. 13th 1884, in the 25th year of his age. 
Therefore be is Resolved--That we as his friends and associates in the sabbath
school, church and the every day walks of life do deeply deplore his death and
heartily sympathise (sic) with his bereaved mother in her lonliness (sic), and
all sorrowing friends.  That in the death of him the Sunday school has lost an
attentive scholar, the church an earnest and zealous advocate of all christian
virtues, and the community an honorable inoffensive and upright citizen.
Be it further Resolved---That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon our
minutes,given the sorrowing mother and published in the Cherokee Advance
