Mr. Hughes was another of the old settlers of this county, and the oldest seting (sic) lawful constable in the county, a good citizen, kind neighbor and loving husband and father, and beliked (sic) and respected by all. His first wife, by whom he raised a large family of children, died several years ago; he leaves a second wife and several young children. He was a member of the Methodist church, and perfectly resigned to death. His remains were brought to this place and interred in the town cemetery last Tuesday followed by a large crowd of children, grand children, relatives and friends who mourned the death of their friend and a good man. We tender to them our sympathies. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cherokee/obits/h/hughes15167ob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
