Another Landmark Removed

On last Friday evening, Mr. Samuel Jarvis, father of our worthy citizen J. W.
Jarvis, passed from earth.  Mr. Jarvis had an attack of paralysis some weeks
since.  Last week he was improving and his friends had hope of his recovery. 
God willed otherwise.  So about three o'clock last Friday evening he died
without a struggle, with no dark cloud to obstruct hope's bright beams.

Mr. Jarvis had lived in this county near forty years, was a good citizen, and
had about lived out his four score.  He was ready to answer the call through
Christ who loved him, and gave himself for him.
