Sudden death-Jess Jarvis was brought home a corpse from Marietta last Sunday 
evening.
He was in Atlanta not feeling well and his father, Wm. Jarvis, went down on 
Saturday to accompany him home.  Arriving at Marietta, a physician was called 
in and gave him apparent relief.  Only a few minutes after the doctor left, 
however, a chilly sensation passed over him, accompanied by a keen pain darting 
to his head, which in a few moments ceased his breathing, and launched his soul 
into the great beyond. 
Mr. Jarvis was a nephew of our fellow townsman, John W. Jarvis. He leaves a 
devoted father and mother, and wife and child, who are almost frantic with 
grief over his sudden and untimely death away from home and friends. We 
sympathize with them.
