The Cherokee Advance (Canton, GA)   13 May 1887 p 3
Frank McConnel, Col., died at the Paupers' Home last Sunday. He was supposed to be 
104 years old. Some time ago he said he knew he would go to hell after he died, 
and he wanted to be one week dying. As in accordance with his wish he was dying 
from Sunday to Sunday, so Mr. Warlick said. There are now 18 inmates at the home.
