Alonzo Moss was a large-hearted, unselfish boy. He was sober, industrious and selfsacrificing (sic). No work was too hard, where he could help the distressed, or accommodate his friends. He was left an orphan, by the death, first of a kind and good mother, when a mere child. In a short time an indulgent father passed from earth. The last year, after experiencing a heart-change, was baptized into the Baptist church in Bartow county. His life after this accorded with his profession. His attack soon produced unconsciousness. But his christian life was unmistakable evidence of happiness in the "beyond." He leaves three dear sisters and many other near friends to mourn his untimely death. How sad this bereavement; so young and promising, and the only brother! Not quite twenty years of age, yet called to lay down his life. He was buried in Canton by his father and mother on last Thursday after religious services in the Methodist church.
