She left a husband and 8 children. She was a member of the Baptist church for 17 years of her later life; was a good companion and mother, and a devoted christian. She often shouted the praises of God while she was upon her bed of affliction, and fell asleep in Christ praising God. Her funeral was preached by Elder J. J. Keester at Sardis church before her burial. "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord."
