Her remains were interred in the Bascomb cemetery on the following Sunday. The burial service was conducted by Rev. M. D. Smith, pastor. Interesting and impressive exhortations were made by Rev. B. B. Buchannan, L. B. Hughes and Mr. J. A. Hancock. Mrs. Page had been a consistent member of the Methodist church for many years. She professed religion and joined the Presbyterian church when a small child. She was a kind, loving and affectionate mother, and a devoted christian. She fed the hungry, clothed the naked, never inquiring after character, and was ever ready to visit the sick and minister to their wants. But, alas! She is gone, her tired hands have ceased from labor, and her troubled heart aches no more. Sleep on, sweet angel mother, until the Lord shall bid us come, then fling open wide the mystic gate of Heaven for our entrance! Our darling mother has gone to rest, To reign with Christ-forever blest; We should not wish her back again, But say: mother, with Christ remain.
