Sudden and Sad Death

Mrs. R. L. Patterson, wife of Mr. R. L. Patterson, died suddenly in Canton,
Thursday morning the 11th inst.

Her infant child a few days old, died last Monday.  Her sickness was not thought
to be dangerous till a little while before she breathed her last.

Mrs. Patterson was a good wife, a good mother and a humble christian.  Her loss
is deeply felt by all.  Her bereaved husband and dear little children, have our
heartfelt sympathy.

The less of the dearest and nearest friends can never be compared to the eternal
gain of those who leave life's pains for Heaven's joys.
