D. and Mary J. Ramsey, was born in Cherokee county, Georgia; June 4, 1864, and died February 19, 1885. She embraced religion and joined the M. E. church south at Holbrook's Camp Ground in 1880. Miss Callie-as she was familiarly called-was from her youth an affectionate and obedient child. When she was left motherless, with several little brothers and sisters, her beautiful traits of character were the more clearly manifested in her management of domestic affairs, and care and training of the little motherless children. She was indeed a jewel. Beautiful in person and more beautiful in spirit, she seems to have been the embodiment of that which was pure and Godly. She sought and professed holiness during the Camp Meeting at Pleasant Grove in September, 1884. We have every reason to believe that she was faithful to the end, and in the supreme moment was found sweetly resting in Jesus. Her last words, in answer to a question from her father, were: "Yes, I do love Jesus." E. H.
