Ga. R. R. between Ball Ground and Tates. While unloading a saw log off a wagon at the saw-mill the log, in some way, became uncontrollable and rolled against one of the hand-sticks, which struck Rashe Roe with great force on the side of the head, about the base of the skull, and killed him almost instantly. Mr. Roe was comparatively a young man, but had a family consisting of a wife and several children, none of whom are able to work, and are now left in almost destituute (sic) circumstances.
