Cherokee Advance 30 Jan 1880 p 3
Died-On the 27th inst., of meningitis, two year old child of Mat Sexton.  The 
remains were intered in the citizens cemetery at this place on last Wednesday. 
"Light be the turf on thy tomb!
May its verdure like emeralds be, 
There should not be the shadow of gloom
In aught that reminds us of thee."
