The Cherokee Advance 24 Jun 1882 p 3
Died near "Trickum," 11th Inst. Mrs. Mary Sylvia (sic), colored.  Wife of Deacon
Andrew Sylvia (sic).  She was a member of the Wood Stock colored Baptist church.
 She was about 35 years of age.  Her husband and little son are left to mourn
for her.  She was buried at Hickory Flat with sisters who had gone before.  Here
she rests to await the trumphet (sic) call of the angel.         H. A. Burge.
