Voiles was born in the year 1827, and departed this life on the 12th day of Aug, 1882. She professed religion and joined the Baptist in 1865 and lived a consistent member of the same until her death. In the several relations of life as wife, mother and friend, she fully met the obligations and demands imposed by the Gospel. Notwithstanding she was sorely afflicted, and in a helpless condition, for 8 or 9 years she bore up under her afflictions with that Christian fortitude that none other but the Grace of God could support. But nowhere did she exemplify so perfectly the strength and lovliness (sic) of Christian womanhood as in the valley of affliction, not only proving the sufficiency of divine grace but rejoicing in the midst of the most painful bodily sufferings, with a joy that is unspeakble (sic) and full of Glory. She has left some children, the church to which she belonged, and many friends to mourn her loss, but she has left to them the sweet savor of a good name. By A Friend. Through the request of a son.
