White was born Nov. 30th 1854, and died May 25th, 1887. In early life she embraced religion and joined the M. E. Church, South, at Cane Creek, of which church she ever lived a consistent and acceptable member. She had consecrated herself to God and was perfectly resigned to His will, though the parting with relatives and friends was sad. In her life we have abundant proof that she has gone to that home where the wicked cease from troubling and the weary are at rest. Before dying she called her relatives and friends to her bedside and admonished them to live faithful and strive to meet her in Heaven. She suffered much during her sickness, but died without a murmur or groan-- passing away in a pleasant sleep. She was an obedient child, a devoted wife and affectionate mother. She leaves a kind husband, five little children, and many relatives and friends to mourn her death. May she sweetly rest from the trials of life, and, though dead, may her good words and deeds still live. "She is gone to the land of Elysian, Where Jesus and angels abide, She has crossed with the pale boatman, She's crossed o'er death's chilly tide."
