Obituary

Died, March the second, near Ophir in this county, Mrs. J. H. Wyatt in the 25th
year of her age.  She was the wife of our citizen, J. H. Wyatt. 

Mrs. Wyatt had been a pious member of the Methodist church since her early girl
hood.  She was a true and devoted wife, and waten-ful (sic) kind mother.

Her sad death not only makes a vacant place in the bereaved family, but many
neighbors appreciated her noble qualities and deeply mourn her loss to them. 
Though a stranger to the deceased, we are glad to be able to say, that her
friends mourn with a bright hope, and though these afflictions seem grievous,
they are but a moment.  God knows how to console the husband, bind up his broken
heart, and take care of the little children, as He tempers the cold blast to the
shorn lamb.
