Rev. W. H. Speer officiating. The attendants were F. P. Burtz, G. W. Brooke, Jas. Latham, Wm. Galt, C. D. Maddox and J. J. Coggins, of Canton, L. A. McClure, of Ball Ground, and Walter Barton, of Atlanta; Col. C. D. Maddox and Wm. Galt also acting as ushers. Miss Emma Ellis presided at the organ. The ceremony was beautiful, short and impressive. The church was beautifully and tastily decorated, a beautiful floral arch being at the head of either aisle, and a large one fronting the altar, in which was suspended a large evergreen horseshoe. After the twain were made one, and receiving congratulations at the church, they repaired to the residence of the bride's father, A. B. Coggins, where, with a number of their relatives and friends, a splendid supper was partaken of. On Thursday a reception was given the happy couple and their friends by the parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Barton. Many presents were given the happy couple, while best wishes were showered upon them by every one. They will begin housekeeping at once in the house formerly occupied by Mr. J. H. King. The groom is one of Canton's most worthy young men, and the bride one of the fairest and sweetest young ladies of Canton. They have the best wishes of The Advance, and its readers, for a long life of happiness and prosperity, crowned with eternal love and favor.
