The Cherokee Advance    23 Oct 1885 p 2
Mr. R. F. Britt, of this place, stole away recently and went we knew not 
where, but on his return last Thursday evening we surmised the reason of his 
absence.  He had gone to Stone Mountain, and on Tuesday evening, October 13th, 
was united in marriage to Miss Lou. A. Davis, near that place.  We extend to 
the newly wedded couple our hearty congratulations and best wishes.
