The Cherokee Advance    Friday 22 Oct 1886 p 2
A Mr. Isaac Smith, of Holly Springs, and Mrs. Eliza Voiles, an inmate of the 
pauper's home, were married last Wednesday.  It were better for the twain to be 
one than have an indictment pending against them in the superior court.  Mrs. 
Voiles' husband, from whom she is not divorced, is, we understand, still living.  
Has she not, then, violated the law? We congratulate the happy couple, and 
tender our best wishes.
