All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jill Leonard Nock jjnock1962@gmail.com May 28, 2004, 8:49 pm Source: Cherokee County Courthouse Written: December 31 1852 Recorded: January 25 1855 I, James Leonard of Cherokee County and State of Georgia, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows to wit: I give and bequeath to my dear beloved wife, Tabitha Leonard, my estate goods, Lands & chattels and ___________ to hold and keep during her natural life time and after her death, I will and bequeath unto my daughter, Effe Williams, one Lot of Land known and distinguished by number five hundred and forty two in the third District and second section of Cherokee County Georgia with all and __________ the appurtenances hereunto belonging, also one negro girl by the name of Kissey and her two children by the name of Catharine and Allen, with all said Kisseys body Issue, and one house to have and to hold unto herself and her future issue provided she shall have any and if she has none at her death to be equally divided between my three sons to wit: Isaac T., Solomon D., Wilkes T. Leonard and the heirs of my two sons, deceased, John W. & Jesse J. Leonard. (The remainder?) of my estate I want equal divided (between my three sons?) to wit: Isaac T., Solomon D. and Wilkes T. Leonard, and the heirs of my two sons, John W. and Jesse J. Leonard, deceased. I appoint and ordain my sons, Solomon D. and Wilkes T. Leonard, my sole executors of this my last will and Testament hereby making all others and former wills as by me made.
