Stark on November 16th 1885. Lucretia Elizabeth Daniel Stark was born in Henry County, Georgia. She married Washington Franklin Stark in Clark County Georgia. They raised their family in Minnish District, Harmony Grove (later Commerce) Jackson County Georgia. Washington Franklin Stark enlisted in Company H, 29th Infantry Regiment Georgia. He became an ordained minister in 1863. In his diary, which is in the process of being transcribed, he describes his life as a Quarter Master during the Civil War. He writes with affection of his wife, Lucretia. Washington Franklin seems to have kept great records. Along with his Civil War Diary there is a list of the many couples he married as well as receipts while he served as Quarter Master during the Civil War. On one of the first pages of this bible is a cure for Small Pox or Scarlet Fever written by Lucretia. She seems to have been a devoted mother and grandmother as well as wife. Lucretia and Washington Franklin Stark are buried in Brockton, Jackson County, in a small family cemetery. Many of the immediate family members are as well. I have never been to the family cemetery. I am told it is overgrown and not tended too. I wish there was something I could do to clean it up myself. The Stark – Daniel family lived in Clark, Henry and Jackson County, Georgia.
